Exciting News!

Hope everyone is having a very Happy Easter. The weather is terrible here in Newcastle so it is making for a great weekend of scrapbooking.

I am very excited to announce that Sasha from Shop and Crop www.shopandcrop.com.au has agreed to be our shop at the fundraiser. If you are from the Newcastle area you can pop in and shop in person @ Shop and Crop, you can find the store @ Elder St Lambton. If you are not local or just can not into the store you can also shop online @ www.shopandcrop.com.au
Sasha has some GREAT new products in at the moment, the new Basic Grey ranges, SEI, Love Elsie to name just a few, so pop on over to Shop and Crop and check out what is there.
Sasha also runs regular class taught by the very talented Jen Hall, so if you are looking for some great classes I suggest you pop into the store and find out more.
Sasha is also helping us get the word out about the fundraiser by mentioning us in the stores regular newsletter so keep an eye out for it. WOW! my inbox is overflowing with people wanting to book and also make donations. I have been totally blown away by the response so far....thank you ladies.
Already I have 35 bookings...meaning i have reached the half way mark already...can you believe it? I am so excited :)

Hi everyone

i'm back again with a new fundraiser for Muscular Dystrophy NSW, and yes its a scrapbooking fundraiser.

I have been doing a lot of planning and sending off a lot of emails, I can not tell you everything just yet...there would be no fun in telling you everything straight away now would there? But i can tell you the date and venue.

Saturday 26th July 2008 @ Edgeworth Bowling Club from 10am till 10pm. Cost $15 per person

Yep 12 straight hours of scrapbooking, lots of laughs, good friends and raising money for a wonderful cause.

A Huge thank you goes out to Edgeworth Bowling Club who are opening their doors to us again for another year. Without their support this day would be not be possible. I have heard that they have a new Bistro at the club and that the food is very yummy, so if you are in the area and looking for a nice meal call into Edgeworth Bowling Club.

bookings are now open so if you wish to book email me @ newcastlefundraiser@hotmail.com. Numbers are limited so book early to make sure you do not miss out. I am looking forward to seeing everyone there again this year and a few new faces as well.

Thank you EVERYONE!

Hi all,

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who has helped us and supported us in the organisation of our fundraiser. We raised approximately $2980. I can't tell you the exact number as I am posting this away from my own computer.

This was an amazing effort considering we had originally been hoping to clear $1000 and 30 people in attendance. In the end we had 75 people and we cleared almost $3000.

Thanks to everyone who came along for the day, listened to us talk, bought raffle tickets, lucky numbers, gave us gold coins for morning tea, attended our two exciting workshops and generally made the day an exciting and fun one.

Thanks again to Edgeworth Bowling Club, Wallsend Crafter's World, Jen Hall and Marion Werren for all of your support. We are so glad to hear that despite the storms last month that Wallsend Crafter's World is back on track and ready to deliver a better than ever scrapbooking experience.

If you ever get the chance, please help us support everyone who has supported us.
